by lifecore

In these programs, we will put together small skits, perform club dances, practise "Strong by

Zumba" warm ups, and play sports and competitive exercises. The program can be integrated to any current curriculum

or can also be an after school program. The program’s main focus is the following:

  • Healthy Habits

  • Multi-Step Instruction

  • Memory and Skill Retention

  • Coordination

  • Identify Building

  • Communications

  • Leadership

6-12 years of age

Each LIFECORE class is divided into four quadrants. All quadrants use the MBS system “Mind, Body, Soul” as a foundation of practice.

Over the course of the program, children will understand how to listen to their body, how to self regulate and how to build patience. Through game play, children will learn sportsmanship and how to work together, cooperatively.

Games, yoga, music, dance, plyometrics, interval training, and drama are introduced progressively and have been adapted accordingly to each age group. We follow the term ABS “attitude, balance and socialization” with the intention to introduce a variety of skills that will continuously enhanced student physical health and mental well being.

The acronym MBS “mind, body, soul” best supports the reasoning behind our program design. This philosophy will be present in every program and will be a primary aspect of yoga, music, drama, and dance. The key areas targeted will be self regulation, forms of expression, and self awareness.

Sports and games are great avenues to develop positive social skills and leadership. They provide a way for young people to look after their bodies and to create healthy long term habits.

Plyometrics and Interval Training are adapted for kids in order for them to build strength, stamina and

endurance.
